Chartered Accountants Ireland (ICAI):
A membership body representing 24,000 members throughout the globe. Their role is to educate, represent and support members. Members work in senior positions in practice and industry.
Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA):
ACCA is a global body for professional accountants with over 188,000 members and 480,000 students in 181 countries.
Qualifications: Foundations in Accountancy, Professional Qualification (ACCA)
Chartered institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
CIMA is the world’s largest professional body of management accountants, with more than 229,000 members and students in 176 countries.
Qualifications: CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting, CIMA Professional Qualification (CGMA)
Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland (CPA Ireland)
CPA Ireland is one of the main Irish accountancy bodies, with 5,000 members and students.
Qualifications: CPA Certificate in Business and Accounting, Certified Tax Adviser (CTax), Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Irish Tax Institute (ITI)
The Irish Tax Institute is the representative and educational body for Ireland’s AITI Chartered Tax Advisers (CTA) and is the only professional body exclusively dedicated to tax.
Qualifications: Tax Technician, Chartered Tax Adviser (AITI CTA)
Accounting Technicians Ireland (formerly AITI)
Accounting Technicians Ireland is a professional body for Accounting Technicians on the island of Ireland. They educate, support and represent over 10,000 people working in the profession.
Qualification: Accounting Technician
