Responsibilities:
To support the MD in all aspects of the Risk Management Function.
Development, implementation & maintenance of all risk management activities.
Develop and maintain written policies on risk management (underwriting, reserving, ALM, reinsurance, investment, operational).
Produce high quality reports to be provided to the Executive Management Committee monthly and to the Risk Committee quarterly.
Ensures risk exposures and incidents are effectively aggregated and reported, providing management with a comprehensive view of overall risk exposure
Management workstream of Solvency II to ensure that the company is in a state of readiness for compliance with the risk management obligations.
Develop the links between the risk areas at group level to ensure all group requirements are met.
Identify gaps & following up on actions derived from risk assessment and audit.
Maintaining oversight of new business & IT projects to ensure that risks are being addressed.

The ideal candidate will have a qualification in Risk, Actuarial Science or Finance and have occupied a similar role in a non-life Insurer, or be able to demonstrate strong relevant experience gained in practice:

Strong non-life insurance background with proven ability to understand the risk management function.
Good understanding of Solvency Capital requirements, planning, control and reporting.
Proven risk management skills including reputational, legal & regulatory, financial and operational.
Experience in preparation and presentation of reports.
Experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships with Executives and Senior Managers, within and outside Risk through personal credibility and delivery of results.
Ability to interpret and evaluate information and make authoritative recommendations.
High level of professional knowledge required.
Ability to have a significant input into discussions at a senior management level and cross-functionally.

This is a strategic and global role offering the right candidate the opportunity to help shape the future of Insurance through the power of data. The person will be responsible for defining and delivering the strategic roadmap for a new Data Warehouse, including data modeling, implementation, advanced data analytics systems and data warehouse input management across global platforms. This person will lead the Scope, Design and Build of the central Data Warehouse, working with senior management, IT and multiple business stakeholders to drive the optimum data solution.

Responsibilities
-Lead the data management solution through deep experience in Information management, data warehousing and analytics technologies to provide tactical and strategic direction in the areas of business intelligence analytics, data mining and visualization and assessment of data quality and consistency across platforms, Health related products and geographical areas.
-Develop a detailed knowledge of the underlying data and become the subject matter expert on content, current and potential future uses of data, and the quality and interrelationship between core elements of the data repository and data products.
-Consult with stakeholders across the wider business to design and implement programs, databases, software components and analyses that will support data quality and an in depth understanding of potential uses of the data in support of achieving goals of the Data Warehouse.
-Owns the business responsibility for determining the information the enterprise will capture, retain and exploit.
-Data Architect will perform a key management and thought leadership role in the areas of advanced data techniques, including data modelling, data access, data integration, data visualization, text mining, data discovery, statistical methods, database design and implementation.
-Define and deliver the strategy roadmap for the Data Warehouse, including data modelling, implementation, advanced data analytics systems and data warehouse input management across the various platforms.
-Setting the vision, gathering requirements, gaining business consensus, performing vendor / product evaluations, mentoring business and development resources, deliver solutions, training and documentation related to Data management.
-Develop specific metrics for quality and consistency reviews of incoming data across businesses, platforms and geographic areas.

Experience Required
-This individual will possess a combination of business knowledge, technical skills, and people skills to define and guide data strategy.
-Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders across the business to understand the business requirements and business processes, design data warehouse schema and define ETL/ELT Processes

Tax Manager required to support the Head of Tax for an International Life Assurer.

 
The company operates in multiple European jurisdictions gives rise to challenges in assuring tax compliance across all tax heads in all jurisdictions.  It is essential for the Company to have an experienced tax professional at manager level who would have an in-depth understanding of the business and its tax obligations.
The Tax Manager will provide input and support to the following:

CCS and EB tax processes oversight and review, ultimately moving tax filing and compliance to the tax dept.
Annual Directors Compliance Statement
Ensuring a reliable and cost effective network of tax advisors in place to cover all jurisdictions – management of these relationships under the responsibility of tax dept.
Engagement of tax dept to assist PTS with policyholder communication from a tax perspective
