Responsibilities will include:
Accuracy and maintenance of the general ledger and the resultant financial statements and reports;
Provide timely and accurate monthly management and statutory financial information;
Support the provision of financial information to the board of directors;
Corporation tax and VAT returns;
Assist with interim and year end audits, including preparation of year end audit files, liaising with audit team and preparation of quarter and year end group reporting;
Support the delivery of Financial Planning and Analysis, assisting with the provision of high-quality management information, and contributing to the forecasting and budgeting processes;
Support project delivery, and assist in process improvements and efficiencies. Continuously seeking to improve and develop the accounting processes to reduce reporting lead times;
Working with colleagues across the Group, ensuring effective collaboration, communication and development of solutions;
Build and maintain excellent relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders; and
Assist in ad-hoc and project requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Qualified/Newly qualified accountant with strong academic ability
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience of the Financial Services industry
Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS would be an advantage
Team player and self-starting, with ability to use initiative, work at times unsupervised and produce high quality output
Good knowledge of accounting systems and spreadsheets
Proven ability to deliver to tight deadlines
Experience using Microsoft Office
