Head of Finance

Salary: €Negotiable

Head of Finance will provide oversight and leadership to Finance, Risk and Compliance functions. The role holder will assist in formulating the company’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives while also monitoring and directing the implementation of strategic business plans.

They will develop effective tax strategies and manage the capital request and budgeting processes.  They will develop performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction especially to develop and support the business to achieve a minimum margin on all revenue of 25%. The role holder will be responsible for pricing, client margin achievement and management of client demand and business supply of resources from a financial perspective.

The role holder will drive greater commercial focus across the business and engage heavily in client contract negotiations and terms. They will be involved in driving the tactical and strategic initiatives to achieve greater profitability. They will ensure that all Financial Reporting complies with required standards, regulations and guidelines. They will also work with the Leadership Team to ensure that all business divisions have an appropriate and aligned strategy in place. Will deliver key strategic projects as required and will deliver on all the elements of the CFO Mandate.
Duties & Responsibilities will include:

Ensuring the financial information returned  is accurate, appropriate and returned within required timelines.
Responsibility for ensuring accurate and timely delivery of valid and complete budget information to senior management and board.
Engagement with the team on budget assumptions, deliverables and timelines
Responsible for ensuring that the Centre expenses are controlled and if actions are required to reduce costs that these are agreed and actioned with the appropriate team.
Managing the communication and allocation of shared services costs to all relevant lines of business
Control and managing the Accounts Payable processes
This role will assess, propose, manage and control strategic projects of a financial nature.
Managing the relationship with external auditors and ensure the annual Internal Audit plan appropriately deals with financial and regulatory risks of the business
Participating in the Irish division ‘Head of Finance’ forum where group wide issues are discussed and challenged
Being a contributor to the (Irish division) Group Reporting Committee where all new reporting standards and obligations along with the annual financial and regulatory returns are discussed and agreed in advance of being presented to the Board Audit Committee
Creating and implementing an integrated risk and compliance framework
Advising on directing capital to projects based on risk
Monitoring the progress of risk mitigation activities

The ideal candidate will:

Have extensive knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory rules
Have excellent people leadership and team management skills
Have Awareness of control environment within financial systems and ability to address weaknesses
Have knowledge of financial systems being operated in the company / available in the market which may offer efficiencies and control enhancements
Have a funds asset management or outsourcing background
