We are looking for an outgoing, ambitious person, with a minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in sales, ideally in the Insurance sector. We are also interested in hearing for sales professionals from other industries, who are interested in a move to the insurance sector.

Salary: €35k – €45k

Responsibilities will include handling commercial incl. sme renewals, quoting, selling & processing commercial incl. sme new business enquiries, day to day interaction with our clients (95% by phone & email) with a particular emphasis on Property, Liability and SME business.

Key Requirements:

Minimum 5 years commercial general insurance broking experience (current & consecutive)
A proven track record in commercial account handling / new business development
Excellent drive, ambition, enthusiasm & extensive knowledge of the Commercial Insurance market with excellent prospecting, presentation and communication skills
Must be minimum APA Commercial General Insurance Qualified (preferably CIP) with required CPD hours attained to date

Senior Personal Lines Executive- Kilkenny

Salary: €20k – €30k

Our client, a well established broker, has a need for an experienced Senior Personal Lines Executive. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a professional rapport with customers when arranging, altering or renewing their car, house or van insurance in line with our procedures and Central Bank requirements

Responsibilities Include:

  • Issuing renewal documentation to clients and following up to ensure retention of the account
  • Issuing motor and home insurance new business quotations and closing sales
  • Servicing of accounts including mid-term alterations, handling of claims etc
  • Achieving personal lines renewal income and new business targets, including generating leads for personal and commercial lines where the opportunity arises
  • Dealing with client queries and providing excellent levels of service to our clients
  • Adhering to all compliance requirements

Skills & Qualities Required:

  • Experience in a general insurance / personal lines sales environment minimum 2 years
  • APA
  • Strong IT skills – knowledge of Relay is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Salary: €30k – €40k

The Team Lead will be required to manage the day to operation of the personal lines team, to include motivating, managing and coaching the team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively leading, managing and motivating a sales and renewal business team to meet financial objectives
  • Responsible for developing, executing and managing targeted multi-channel renewal business campaigns to achieve performance results.
  • Communicate and collaborate with marketing to increase and/or maintain levels of the business activity.
  • Responsible for identifying renewal business opportunities and presenting benefits and key features of products effectively to secure business.
  • Proactive in identify new revenue generating opportunities to meet the company targets such as cross selling and up selling to existing customers.
  • People and performance management, creating and sustaining a high performance culture.
  • Ensuring that staff development needs are identified and training is provided where needs/gaps are identified.
  • Developing and maintaining renewal business materials and current product knowledge.
  • Managing the agreed levels of calling activity effectively with capacity to ensure a consistently high standard of service.
  • Ensuring provision and delivery of excellent customer service as defined by agreed service standards and to ensure that standard procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • Provide regular and effective internal and external communication

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a team leader/supervisory role
  • Minimum CIP
  • A natural people leader.
  • Motivated, target driven and results orientated.
  • Graduate calibre or equivalent desirable.

Our client, a long standing, leading brokerage is looking for a commercial executive you join their new business team. You will work alongside the Sales Director closing warm leads and attending meetings.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will work within an existing new business team supported by a proven marketing function providing established business opportunities.
  • Responsibility will include new business generation towards defined targets
  • Delivering excellent customer service with high satisfaction performance levels.
  • This role will involve working across all classes of commercial insurance including, commercial combined, combined liability, professional indemnity, motor fleet etc.

Candidate Qualities and Experience

  • Candidates should have at least 5 years’ experience in a commercial insurance broking environment and knowledge of the processes involved in transacting commercial insurance business.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential with a proven record of converting new business opportunities.
  • Candidate should be self-motivated, ambitious and driven to succeed.
  • CIP qualified (or Grandfathered) in Commercial General Insurance or have another recognized educational qualification in Insurance.
