Our client currently has offices in Cork, Dublin and Waterford. Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning, the role is intended to support planned growth of the business in the Dublin area following recent expansion through acquisition.

The role involves the direct provision of financial planning, wealth management and employee benefits advice to new and existing clients of the firm. The successful candidate will work closely with the commercial insurance teams in developing new business and implementing the firms advisory approach. The role of Account Director – Financial Planning offers candidates with relevant experience in a similar role the opportunity to build an exciting career in Ireland’s largest independently owned insurance and risk management broker.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the business in the provision of financial advice to our clients.
  • Deliver key earnings objectives aimed at building our business.
  • Implement the firms lead conversion process aimed at leveraging new and existing client relationships.
  • Ensure the delivery of a high standard of service to clients of the firm.
  • Establish direct relationships with clients, understand their financial objectives and identify opportunities for the provision of appropriate advice.
  • Implement a structured client contact programme, regularly reviewing client portfolios and advising clients as required.
  • Represent the firm in a responsible and professional manner at all times.
  • Implementing strict adherence to our compliance agenda and best practice in financial planning.

 

Key Competencies:

  • An excellent standard of service and of client relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, sales and relationship skills.
  • At least 3 years experience dealing directly with clients on financial planning matters.
  • Strong technical knowledge, with experience of advising clients on financial products, structures and processes, with a strict adherence to the regulatory requirements.
  • Familiar with key financial advice processes such as portfolio analysis, the presentation of recommendations, KYC and AML.
  • A high degree of personal organisation and a structured approach to time and resource management.
  • To be goal oriented and ready to take direct responsibility for delivering on revenue and client management objectives.
  • QFA qualified or “grandfathered” at a minimum, maintaining CPD requirements and possibly engaged in further professional development.
  • Ideally CFP or working towards.
  • A high standard of knowledge of standard business systems and processes.

The Senior Pensions Administrator will provide administration services to a portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for all aspects of administration and compliance, participating in any projects and contributing to the general development of the business, including best practice initiatives, development of the administration systems and support/training of junior colleagues. 

The teams remit is to deliver first class support services to clients, brokers, consultants and other internal departments. The senior administrator is responsible for all aspects of the day to day delivery of an excellent, efficient and compliant service level to all clients and therefore will operate at a high level dealing directly with client’s senior management.

Job Requirements

  • Administration and management of a portfolio of clients pension defined contribution schemes
  • Responsible for the completion of the annual compliance cycle for Corporate Clients (pre-renewal, renewals, Trustee Annual Report, Member Benefit Statements & SORPS).
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance position & monitoring progress on same.  Report on progress to team Manager on a regular basis.
  • Processing day to day administration in accordance with the administration process document.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, controls to ensure deliverance of excellent service.
  • Responsibility for the issue and collection of Fees.
  • Preparation of retirement/leaving Service Options.
  • Handling of transfer requests.
  • Benefit claims processing.
  • Accurate processing and recording of scheme contributions and investments.
  • Active compliance with CRM usage so that all activities are logged
  • Ongoing update and maintenance of membership records on the Pension Master system for any Full Service Schemes in line with procedures
  • Co-ordinate the audit of pension accounts and liaise with the Scheme Auditor
  • Providing pensions support and developing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients
  • Assume responsibility for project assignments as directed.
  • Co-ordinate complex assignments and develop more junior colleagues. Reporting to the team manager and unit director
  • Participate in training programmes and attend relevant industry forums.
  • Where required, pursue relevant industry related qualifications
  • Ensure compliance with CPD requirements
  • Efficient complaints management in accordance with company procedures.
  • Attending client meetings where required and participation is pension clinics.
  • Communicate and work closely with the appointed account manager to ensure seamless delivery of excellent customer service.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with an ability to communicate across all levels and departments
  • Flexibility of approach, ability to work on own initiative
  • A minimum of 3 years pension administration experience;
  • Progression or qualification in LIA or PMI qualifications essential.
  • Proven track record of providing excellent customer service;
  • Professional telephone manner and strong organisational skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Proven team player with a flexible attitude towards work;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, written and verbal;
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Working as a member of a Corporate Pensions Administration Team, with responsibility, for providing a range of administration services for medium and large clients.

  • This will involve working to  agreed service standards and client deadlines, complying with internal procedures to provide a consistent and proactive client service to the highest standards.
  • Working closely with and supporting the team leader the person will be responsible for helping to ensure the successful integration and training of new additions to the team.
  • Also responsible for providing technical support to team members and helping resolve customer issues.

 

Principle Responsibilities include:

  • Administration management of a portfolio of corporate client Defined Benefit Pension Schemes.  Ensure that all aspects of the day to day administration of the client portfolio is delivered to the highest standards, including completion of renewals, dealing with all financial transactions, issuing of benefit statements, leaver option statements and preparation of trustee annual reports.
  • Meeting agreed service standards and adhere to standard procedures.
  • Ensure agreed procedures are followed in the team.

  • Experience in Defined Benefit Pensions Administration in a Pensions Benefits Consultancy background administering all aspects of Defined Benefit and Public Sector Pension Schemes would be an advantage although candidates with a good Insurance Company background will be considered provided the relevant experience has been gained.
  • You are expected to have a thorough understanding of the underlying Pensions Legislation and regulatory environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required together with an ability to work of your own initiative.
  • Good attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
  • You will also have relevant computer skills such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook etc and have built up a sound knowledge of a Pensions Administration system.
