Northern Ireland now has more than 5000 Chartered Accountants

NI now boasts more Chartered Accountants than ever before. But what does that mean for you? Let’s find out more.

 

With 83 new members admitted to Chartered Accountants Ireland in a Belfast ceremony last month, the total number of Chartered Accountants in NI has risen to 5,200. This is the largest number of Chartered Accountants we’ve ever had in the country. It is great news for the profession, but how has it happened and what does it really mean? In this article, we’ll explain it all.

 

Good news

 

Chartered Accountants Ireland is the island of Ireland’s largest trade body for accountants. The total number of members is around 31,000, although some do not practice in Ireland. 

 

Chartered Accountants Ireland were delighted to welcome the 83 new members. More Chartered Accountants working than ever before is great for local business. It helps encourage growth and creates jobs in Northern Ireland at a time when it’s badly needed.

 

More than a career

 

Chartered Accountants Ireland have been heavily promoting the opportunity to train as a Chartered Accountant in NI. 

 

A new video presents becoming an accountant as a change to shape a new connected world. As a Chartered Accountant, you can make a difference, building skills and working with other driven individuals to make a better tomorrow.

 

The campaign appears to be resonating with young people in NI who have taken the leap into accountancy.
