Our client is one of Ireland’s largest insurance brokers, seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team. This is a fully remote position, ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong organisational skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the finance team in preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with various accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time.
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant accounting qualification is desirable.
  • Advanced experience with MS Excel and Power BI is advantageous.
  • 3-5 years of experience within the insurance industry, ideally within commercial lines.
