A leading insurer is seeking a Casualty Claims Handler to manage a portfolio of liability claims, ensuring fair, efficient outcomes in line with policy and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage claims from notification through to settlement
- Assess coverage, liability, and apply negligence principles
- Investigate claims (reports, medical evidence, witnesses, experts)
- Set reserves, control costs, and process payments
- Liaise with brokers, policyholders, solicitors, and third parties
- Negotiate settlements and manage external partners
- Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance

- Public, Employers & Product Liability
- Property damage and bodily injury
Skills & Experience
- Experience in casualty/liability claims handling
- Strong understanding of liability law and policy wordings
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple claims effectively
Requirements
- Claims handling experience within insurance
- Familiarity with claims systems and Microsoft Office
- Insurance qualification (APA/CIP) desirable
