A growing insurance provider are looking for a technically strong Loss Adjusting Manager to join their claims function. This is a hands-on position focused on managing large loss and complex property claims, involving a mix of desktop assessments and occasional on-site inspections.
 
The successful candidate will handle claims from start to finish, acting as a key referral point within the team and ensuring fair outcomes for customers while safeguarding the insurer’s interests. You’ll be responsible for reviewing reports from external assessors, managing service providers, and contributing to the development of best practice procedures and technical standards. You’ll also play an important role in mentoring colleagues and supporting recruitment and training initiatives across the department.
 
To be considered, you’ll need a minimum of five years’ experience in loss adjusting, assessing, quantity surveying, or a related area. Strong experience with large loss or complex claims is essential, along with solid knowledge of Irish building regulations and construction standards. Excellent report writing, negotiation, and technical analysis skills are required. An APA qualification (at minimum) is essential. Experience liaising with contractors or restoration specialists would be an advantage, as would involvement in designing internal procedures or audit processes.
