Our client, a specialist broker based in Dublin, is seeking an experienced Account Handler to join their team, focusing on wholesale accounts and Property insurance.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of renewals and new business enquiries, ensuring a high standard of client service. You will take full responsibility for the process from start to finish, responding promptly to intermediary queries and providing clear, detailed information on policy coverage, terms, and claims procedures. Your duties will include underwriting on an in-house Property binder, processing MTAs, issuing endorsements, preparing MRC slips, and generating policy documentation. You will also handle mid-term policy queries and cover changes, ensuring clients understand the impact of policy condition breaches. You will collaborate with the team, providing instructions and resolving issues with insurance providers while supporting the growth of the portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong background in property insurance and portfolio management. You will possess excellent communication, client relationship management, and organisational skills, with a proven ability to maintain accurate documentation. Experience with Lloyd’s or MGA and a background in retail insurance or underwriting is highly desirable. An APA qualification is essential, and a CIP qualification is preferred.
