We are looking for an insurance commercial broker who is experienced in being autonomous, client-facing and taking lead on their portfolio, who wants to bring their skills into a new area of insurance.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced insurance professional to step into a highly visible senior position managing a long-established and respected insurance scheme operating within a specialist sector across Ireland and Northern Ireland.
 
The successful person will take ownership of a substantial client portfolio, working closely with senior stakeholders, insurer partners and internal leadership to maintain and strengthen a bespoke insurance offering that has been established for over 25 years. The role combines relationship management, strategic oversight, client servicing, scheme development and regulatory collaboration.
 
This position would suit someone coming from a commercial broking, corporate account executive or scheme management background who enjoys autonomy, relationship-led insurance work and being a trusted advisor to clients.
 
The role will play a key part in maintaining and strengthening long-term client relationships, overseeing renewals, supporting strategic growth initiatives and helping transition the business into a new regulated structure.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of established clients across Ireland
  • Lead client review meetings and advise on insurance programme structures and coverage requirements
  • Work closely with insurer and broker partners to ensure strong market representation and placement strategy
  • Drive retention through proactive relationship management and service excellence
  • Support growth initiatives across existing and prospective member organisations
  • Oversee renewals, policy reviews and ongoing servicing requirements
  • Act as a senior point of contact for insurance-related queries and escalations
  • Work collaboratively with compliance and operational teams to ensure strong regulatory standards are maintained
  • Assist with the ongoing development and expansion of the insurance offering
  • Contribute to strategic projects including business restructuring and new product development initiatives
  • Act as the designated holder of a senior regulated function within the business, subject to Central Bank approval
  • Support and mentor members of the wider insurance team

 
About You:

  • Strong background within commercial insurance broking, corporate account management or scheme management
  • Experience managing client relationships independently and operating in a client-facing environment
  • Comfortable leading meetings and building long-term stakeholder relationships
  • Strong technical understanding across commercial insurance products and liability lines
  • Experience working with insurers, underwriters and placement strategies
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements within insurance would be advantageous
  • CIP qualification essential; additional qualifications advantageous
  • Previous experience operating within a regulated insurance environment
  • Understanding of CPC requirements and governance standards
  • Experience interacting with senior stakeholders, boards or regulated entities would be advantageous
  • Previous PCF approval or suitability for a PCF-level role
