Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager to join our client’s captive management team based in Dublin. This role offers the chance to impact a growing international risk and insurance environment significantly.
 
Work Style
This is a hybrid position. Initial training and onboarding will take place in the Dublin office. After that, team members can work remotely, except for attending the office (or other required locations) for client meetings, quarterly Team Days, or as dictated by business needs.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for managing a portfolio of (re)insurance companies.
  • Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Ireland regulations and Solvency II legislation for client companies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, gaining a deep understanding of their business and industry.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial and management reports to support client decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including parent companies, regulators, directors, auditors, actuaries, bankers, and tax advisers.
  • Serve as the primary account manager for specific clients by:
    • Collaborating with the underwriting team to meet all reporting and control requirements.
    • Preparing and reviewing management accounts, reports, budgets, and forecasts as needed.
    • Ensuring timely and accurate filing of all regulatory and statistical reports.
    • Preparing year-end financial statements and coordinating with external auditors.
    • Monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements, including QRT submissions and ORSA coordination.
    • Ensuring adherence to Irish Company Law and relevant tax regulations in partnership with tax advisors.
    • Collaborating with the Heads of Function (Risk, Compliance, Actuarial, Internal Audit) as needed.
    • Managing cash flow and reconciliations, working with banks and investment managers to produce reports.
    • Coordinating client board meetings and presenting necessary materials.
    • Providing client entertainment as needed.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Required: Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, etc.)
  • Required: Strong financial accounting expertise, with knowledge of international accounting standards.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Irish regulatory requirements, particularly Solvency II.
  • Preferred: Experience in (re)insurance accounting.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of the captive insurance sector.
