We are recruiting a Paraplanner to be part of a dynamic Individual Financial Planning Team. The purpose of this role is to provide central resource support to the Sales Consultants and work as part of a Sales Support Team. The Paraplanner will be involved in the delivery of service to a team of Financial Advisers within agreed service levels including timeliness and quality.
  
The Role

  • Participate in the “pre-sales” process in terms of gaining an understanding of the client’s objectives & needs (on occasion attending Client Meetings with Financial Consultant).
  • Assist in analyzing client information to ensure best plan of action is put forward.
  • Based on client objective & needs provide research on products, providers, funds & charges
  • Responsible for producing the Advice Report, outlining recommendations to client.
  • Compile all sales, product and fund related reports as required.
  • Dealing with clients directly on certain queries.
  • In conjunction with the Financial Consultants, put in place a clear plan of activity to ensure the regular review of existing clients on an on-going basis and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Occasional use of Voyant, Cashflow analysis and other Financial Planning tools
  • Take ownership of some small pieces of business on behalf of the Financial Consultant (e.g., protection business, small annuities) through a desk-based service.
  • Ensure the Advisory team are always fully briefed on all market and product changes.
  • Ensure relevant procedures are followed to comply with Central Bank regulations and wider business requirements.

Requirements

  • QFA qualification is essential as you will have direct dealings with the clients.
  • Additional industry qualifications such as RPA are desirable.
  • Minimum 3 years in a paraplanner, technical support or administrative Role within the Life & Pensions industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Life & Pensions.
  • Strong understanding of Compliance within the industry.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a high-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical, with at least a good knowledge of products, business practices and markets
  • Excellent IT skills and competency across Microsoft Office.
  • A real desire to progress within the industry
