Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to corporate revenue by strategically planning key account activities that align with the wider business goals of our client.
  • Leverage internal data and market analytics to guide underwriting decisions and identify revenue opportunities within the existing portfolio.
  • Drive business growth by implementing innovative approaches for expanding new and existing accounts in line with the company’s objectives.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by applying technical expertise and adhering to a customer-first approach in all stakeholder interactions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders to capitalize on opportunities while staying informed of market developments.
  • Collaborate closely with the Regional Manager and Regional Underwriting Manager to generate leads and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Work alongside Segment Leadership, the Customer Trading Hub (CTH) Manager, and the CTH Team Leader to meet customer needs and achieve team objectives.
  • Conduct account reviews to identify non-profitable accounts, taking corrective actions aligned with business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of high performance within the Customer Trading Hub by collaborating across segments and upholding professional standards.
  • Utilize binding authorities effectively while ensuring continuous professional development to meet team and business goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activities and interactions in the CRM system (Microsoft 365 Dynamics).
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance its market presence and profile.
  • Undertake training to strengthen skills and knowledge, supporting the achievement of segment goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the technical underwriting lead during broker meetings with BDMs, delivering presentations and training workshops as needed.
  • Participate in team or business-wide projects as assigned by leadership, in line with the role’s scope and responsibilities.

  • Strong trading capability – commercial awareness and ability to build strong relationships
  • Critical analytical and reasoning skills

  • Understanding of commercial insurance governance and controls
  • Project management skills

 
Qualification Requirements:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent industry experience
  • ACII qualified or working towards
