Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing financial advisory firm operating in the life and pensions space. The business has built a strong reputation for quality advice and is now looking to add depth to its advisory team at senior level.
This is not a role built around individual heroics. The firm already has a capable team of five advisors, from junior to mid-level, and what is missing is an experienced presence who can steady the ship, raise the standard, and act as a genuine point of reference for the wider group. If you are a seasoned advisor who is comfortable in front of high-net-worth clients, has nothing left to prove, and takes real satisfaction in helping others get better at the job, this role is worth a conversation.
You will report directly into the leadership team and work alongside your peers as a senior advisor in your own right, holding and developing your own client relationships. Alongside this, you will take on an informal leadership function within the advisory team: leading sales meetings, setting the tone for how advice is delivered, and acting as the go-to person when advisors need guidance on a case or a client situation. This is not a line management role and does not involve formal one-to-ones. It is about leading from the front.
What the role involves
- Managing a portfolio of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, across life and pensions advice
- Acting as a senior point of reference for a team of junior to mid-level advisors
- Leading or co-leading sales meetings and contributing to how the advisory function operates day to day
- Supporting consistency in advice standards, client experience, and case handling across the team
- Maintaining the professionalism, discretion, and judgement expected when handling complex or sensitive client relationships
What we are looking for
- Significant experience in financial advisory, ideally with strong exposure to life and pensions
- A demonstrated ability to manage high-net-worth or complex client relationships with confidence and discretion
- Credibility with peers and a natural inclination to mentor, without needing a formal title to do it
- A calm, dependable approach. This is a safe pair of hands role as much as it is a senior advisory one
- Comfort operating in a growing business where structures are still evolving
Why this role
This is a genuine opportunity to shape how a growing advisory team operates, while continuing to work directly with clients at a senior level. It suits someone who wants influence and recognition without stepping fully into management, and who is motivated by building something with a longer-term view.
