Location: Dublin – City Centre or North Side.
Salary: €70,000 to €80,000 basic plus a tiered performance bonus

About the client
Our client is a well-established commercial insurance brokerage with a national office network and a strong, recognisable brand in the Irish market. The business continues to grow at pace and is investing in its sales function, with plans to expand the team significantly over the coming years under a new regional structure.
The role
This is a fully sales-focused role, suited to someone with around four to five years’ experience in commercial insurance who wants to concentrate on new business. The client works on a “hunter” model. Once business is won, it is handed over to a dedicated support team so that the salesperson can move on to the next opportunity.
The role will focus on the North East region, but the client is flexible on location provided the individual is focused on growing business in that area.
Key responsibilities
- Winning new commercial insurance business, primarily across the North East region
- Developing a personal pipeline through networking, events, referrals and self-generated activity
- Converting leads generated by the in-house telemarketing team and the client’s brand
- Handing over new clients to the support structure while remaining a point of contact where needed
- Spending time out meeting clients and prospects as required
About you
- Around four to five years’ experience in commercial insurance
- A strong interest in sales and a desire to move into, or continue in, a new business role
- Candidates coming from an account management or existing business background who want to become more sales-focused are encouraged to apply
- Outgoing, confident and comfortable building relationships face to face
- A generalist across commercial lines. A sector specialism is welcome but not essential
