360 Search is currently working on behalf of a well established, privately-held global investment management firm to source an Investment Counsellor for their Dublin office.
The Opportunity
This is a relationship management role, not new business. You’ll act as the sole point of contact for a book of high-net-worth clients, ranging in size and asset value, keeping them informed on portfolio decisions, market movements, and the firm’s investment strategy. You’ll work closely with in-house analysts and the wider investment team, translating market insight into clear, confident communication for your clients.
Once a client is onboarded, you become their trusted advisor for the long term, building the kind of relationship that keeps people invested through changing market conditions.
Day to Day
- The majority of your week will be spent on the phone or on video calls with clients, new and existing, explaining the firm’s investment approach and building trust
- The remainder involves email correspondence and working alongside an internal client service team who support you operationally
- You will not be selling products. This firm operates as a fiduciary, building discretionary, stock-based portfolios rather than fund-based models, so a genuine interest in how markets work matters more than a sales background alone
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience managing your own book of clients directly, not supporting a senior advisor’s book. Book size is less important than ownership and autonomy
- A relationship-first mindset. This role suits someone emotionally intelligent, personable, and genuinely engaged with people, rather than someone purely analytical or technical
- Some professional experience already, ideally not at the very start of your career, but also not so senior that stepping into a hands-on relationship role would be a step back
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, communication-heavy environment
Training and Development
New hires go through an in-depth training programme spanning close to two months, covering the firm’s systems, investment philosophy, and approach to markets. Strong performers have clear internal progression opportunities across analytical, leadership, and other career tracks.
What’s on Offer
- 100% paid private healthcare and dental cover for you and your dependents
- 28 days annual leave, plus up to 11 public holidays
- Strong maternity provisions and a family-forming benefit
- Employer pension contribution well above market norm
- Gym subsidy and employee wellbeing programme
If this sounds like the right next step, we’d welcome a confidential conversation.
