360 Search is currently working on behalf of a well established, privately-held global investment management firm to source an Italian-speaking Investment Counsellor for their Dublin office.
The Opportunity
This role focuses on managing relationships with high-net-worth Italian clients, based from the firm’s Dublin office. You’ll act as each client’s sole point of contact, keeping them informed on portfolio decisions, market movements, and the firm’s investment strategy, working closely with in-house analysts to translate market insight into clear communication.
Once a client is onboarded, your role is building long-term trust, keeping them confidently invested through changing market conditions.
Day to Day
- The majority of your week is spent on the phone or video calls with Italian-speaking clients, new and existing, explaining the firm’s investment approach
- The remainder involves email correspondence, supported by an internal client service team
- This is a fiduciary, discretionary portfolio management model, a different approach to the fund-based models typically used in Italian banking, so genuine curiosity about markets matters as much as relationship skills
What We’re Looking For
- Fluent Italian and strong English, essential
- Proven experience managing your own book of clients directly, not a supporting role to a senior advisor. Book size matters less than direct ownership
- International experience is a strong plus, an exchange programme, study, or work experience abroad
- A relationship-first personality: emotionally intelligent, personable, and genuinely people-focused rather than purely technical
- Some professional experience, ideally past entry level but not so senior that a hands-on relationship role would be a step back
- Experience within family-run organisations is not a fit for this particular role
Training and Development
New hires complete an in-depth training programme of close to two months, covering systems, investment philosophy, and market approach. Strong performers have genuine internal progression routes across analytical, leadership, and other tracks.
